Expansion is now offering a “Student Discount Program”.  This program will provide for a discounted registration and a discounted Big EXP Lunch for an attendee that meets the requirements below.

This program is set-up in an effort to make Expansion easier to attend for those on a budget.  Are there limits?  Yes.  Are there conditions?  Yes.  Is there a catch?  Yes.

WHO can use this program?

Anyone attending Expansion that meets ALL particulars of this list:

-         is between the ages of 18-26 years old (meaning at least 18yo on September 25, 2009 and born in 1983 or after)

-         is in school and has a valid school photo ID (needed to register and to sign-in at the event)

-         agrees to “the catch” (see below)

WHAT is “The Catch”?:

-         The catch is that you agree to work at the event for NO MORE than 2 hours total at some point in the event weekend.  This would include but not be limited to helping with registration, helping to set-up the hospitality suite for functions, helping to straighten up or clean-up after hospitality functions, be a guide to certain events.  It WOULD NOT mean that any of these tasks would be in private or alone, it would most likely not keep you from participating in any part of the event that you wanted and usually each of the tasks listed can be completed in a few minutes.

HOW MUCH are we talkin’?:

-         Registration for someone that agrees to “The Catch” and meets the list of requirements would pay $35 for registration, can add the meal for $25 and a tour for $15.  That’s $75 for the whole deal or you can piece it together as long as “Registration” is in there.  You are subject to the same refund program regular registrations are.

WHEN do I have to decide by?:

-         Those interested in this discount program can email Clayton if you have questions.  I will be very happy to discuss anything you have questions about.  BUT, remember,  space for this is limited because we can’t really use 20 people helping with the event.  SO- this special student discount rate will be good until I have filled the spots needed.  This is new for Expansion so it may be a few days or a month.  I am not certain.

HOW DO I SIGN-UP?:

-         Email ExpansionCon@yahoo.com and tell us that you are interested in the program.  If you have questions or concerns, ask them.  Once you decide that you will participate, and have sent us a copy of your validated, student ID, we will email you a special “PayPal” request for payment in the amount that you have selected (Registration only, with the lunch or tour or the whole package).

WRAP –UP:

With this program and the great rate that we got for the rooms (up to 4 people in room for $99. per night) this means that a student on a budget could get a room with roommates for $25 per night (plus tax) and be registered for Expansion for $35.  They would get all that a regular Expansion rate gets you and only have to agree to work for two hours during the entire event (NOT 2 hours a day – but just two hours at some point(s) total between Friday Noon and Monday Noon).
