2010 Information

Expansion is offering a “Student Discount Program”.  This program will provide for a discounted registration and a discounted Big EXP Dinner for an attendee that meets the requirements below.

This program is set-up in an effort to make Expansion easier to attend for those on a budget.  Are there limits?  Yes.  Are there conditions?  Yes.  Is there a catch?  Yes.

WHO can use this program?

Anyone attending Expansion that meets ALL particulars of this list:

-         is between the ages of 18-27 years old (meaning at least 18yo and not older than 27 on October 15, 2010.)

-         is in school and has a valid school photo ID (needed to register and to sign-in at the event)

-     is arriving by Friday morning no later than NOON.

-         agrees to “the catch” (see below)

WHAT is “The Catch”?:

-         The catch is that you agree to work at the event for NO MORE than 3 hours total at some point in the event weekend.  This would include but not be limited to helping with registration, helping to set-up the hospitality suite for functions, helping to straighten up or clean-up after hospitality functions, be a guide to certain events.  It WOULD NOT mean that any of these tasks would be in private or alone, it would most likely not keep you from participating in any part of the event that you wanted and usually each of the tasks listed can be completed in a few minutes.

HOW MUCH are we talkin’?:

      Registration for someone that agrees to “The Catch” and meets the list of requirements would pay $35 for registration, and can add the "Big EXP Buddha vs. Kahuna Dinner & Show" for $30That’s $65 for both or just $35 for Registration alone.  You are subject to the same refund program regular registrations are.

WHEN do I have to decide by?:

-         Those interested in this discount program can email Clayton if you have questions.  I will be very happy to discuss anything you have questions about.  BUT, remember, space for this is limited because we can’t really use 20 people helping with the event.  SO- this special student discount rate will be good until I have filled the spots needed. 

-         Your spot is NOT locked in until you register and pay for the event.  If you have noted an interest and have not paid and someone else wants your spot, you will be notified.  No response in 48 hours will enable the second person to take your spot.

HOW DO I SIGN-UP?:

-         Email ExpansionCon@yahoo.com and tell us that you are interested in the program.  If you have questions or concerns, ask them.  Once you decide that you will participate, and have sent us a copy of your validated, student ID, we will email you a special “PayPal” request for payment in the amount that you have selected (Registration only, or Registration and the Dinner).

REMEMBER:  This program can be changed depending on the final schedule but you will be notified of changes before you pay.  Until registration begins, the prices listed here are ESTIMATED.

 

WRAP –UP:

With this program and the great rate that we got for the rooms (2 people in room for $80 per night) this means that a student on a budget could get a room with a roommate for $40 per night (plus tax) and be registered for Expansion for $35.  They would get all that a regular Expansion rate gets you and only have to agree to work for three hours during the entire event (NOT 3 hours a day – but just three hours at some point(s) total between Friday Noon and Monday Noon).  Expansion chooses when, where and what your time would be used for.
